The One Change That Gave Me My Energy Back
The most important thing I've done for my health.
The Morning Routine That Sets Up Your Whole Day
Practical and immediately useful.
What I Use Every Day
Ghost
This is what I use to run Rob's Path. Clean, fast, no ads, built for writers who want to own their audience. I swapped from WordPress and couldn't be happier.
Protandim NRF2
Without this I couldn't have even started my journey into more health. Exhausted every day, it helped me recover and find life again. Take it every single day and give it to my family too.
Magnesium Glycinate
Available in most chemists and supermarkets. It is best to use glycinate as this is absorbed better by the body and helps more with the sleep and nervous system support.
Free Tools I Love And Use Daily
Streaks (iPhone)
This is the simple app that motivates my activity every morning. With a simple tap it keeps my activity going. Keeping the "streak" going is very motivating and one of the reasons I love this app.
Things (iPhone)
I love this app. It is my go-to to-do app. The one I keep coming back to time and again. I love how simple and easy to use it is, yet how much you can do with it. Good looking, helpful, and genuinely useful. It's one of my favourite apps on my phone.
Podcasts
Diary of a CEO
This is a very popular podcast, but I only follow the health-focused episodes. Steven Bartlett asks questions most health podcasters don't think to ask. I then use the links to go deeper on what the person was saying.
Modern Wisdom
Same approach, health and performance episodes only. Worth cross-referencing when the same guest appears on both as you get a genuinely different angle from the same conversation.
Books
Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker
This was the first book that shook my understanding of sleep and made me rethink everything I was doing with regards to my sleep. It took more than this, but it was the first time I had to reconsider that perhaps sleep was important.
The Mind-Gut Connection by Emeran Mayer
I had no idea that there was so much communication happening between our gut and mind, and how much our food affects us (detailed even more in Georgia Ede's book).
Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind by Georgia Ede
This book blew my mind. I did not expect to hear what they said about the impact of food on the brain, and it was the first book to truly cause massive changes in how I eat.
Nature Wants Us To Be Fat by Richard Johnson
When I read this book, everything about why I was fat and how to stop it made total sense. It was surprising to know that sugar was the culprit but that it was found even in some of what I thought were "safe" foods.
The China Study by T. Colin Campbell
After reading this book my wife and I went immediately vegan. It was powerful. There is so much good information in this book about what foods are good for you and what is not. Read with Change Your Diet, Change Your Mind it will give you a very balanced outlook.
